Courmayeur is an Alpine resort in northwest Italy, at the foot of Mont Blanc. The SkyWay Monte Bianco cable car is incredible, well worth a trip, offering magnificent views of the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa. The Saussurea Alpine Botanical Garden with medicinal and high-altitude plants is the highest alpine botanical garden in Europe, at 2,173 metres above sea level.

The restaurants in Courmayeur range from village bistrots and classic Italian alpine restaurants, all the way up to Michelin star standard, something for every palate.

When it’s time to take off your boots and gloves, the Après-Ski in Courmayeur takes place. It’s more gentle than the Swiss or Austrian après.
